Itinerary description
Popular five mile straight out and back trail, vast majority of it is in the trees. Enjoy Galena creek, four walking bridges, plus some views of the Montreux golf course, and the back yards of really nice looking houses at Montreux. Mostly walkers/hikers with some mountain bikers on the trail.
Trail head is off Callahan Road about 1.5 miles south of it's intersection with the Mt Rose Highway. Adequate dirt lot parking and minimalist portable toilet at trail head
Note I started recording at the end of the trail, (it's backwards), so out and back is 5 miles total. Please start at the trailhead off of Callahan Road (the red marker)
