Itinerary description
The trail starts on the corner of the road towards Agios Kirikos. There are parts in the forest and as the sun is moving to the west you are expected to have shadow after the first intersection. For 1 - 1,5 h you move uphill on a rocky terrain getting in and out vegetation. Then it becomes relatively flat as you turn east - south east to move towards the ruins of Kapsalino castle. The landscape and the view keep changing making the trail highly versatile. Of course, after Kapsalino castle, you can follow the trail to Mavrato (about 1h).
