Itinerary description

Moving time: 4h 15mins.

Distance (measured by GPS device): 16,5 kms.

The trail starts from the center of Apollonia, follows small trails until Kastro and then takes the trail from Kastro to Faros (one can enjoy the beautiful Glifo beach there).
It continues to the Monastery of Chrisopigi through the beach of Apokofto and then returns to Apollonia following the path to the Monastery of Vrisi and then smaller trails inside Examplela.

Enjoy

We walked from Apollonia to Kamares only- Sifnos Trails labels this trail as #10. It was tricky to find the trail head and stay on the right path at the beginning - but it soon became clearer. We had to follow trail #1 for a while. Walk included several rocky sections and some riverbed areas. We used our hiking poles at times which made it easier. Beautiful views and great hike!

The trek is very beautiful but the last bit from Castro to Artemonas, through the valley, was not doable as it was completely covered with branches.
I used then Google maps that made me go back walking a bit on the paved road and mostly on what is probably a bit of a Sifnos trail which was good. For details of this last bit, please refer to the track recorded by me.
