Itinerary description

I walked this on 2019-04-24. This is part of my 4-week China walk in 2019. That 2019 walk continues a walk I started 2018 in Wuhan. Both times I stayed in China about 1 month with a tourist visa. I hope my tracks inspire you to do your own road-walking project - on your own route or following my routes.

Previous day "19Xina 19Qr to Guxian 顾县", Wikiloc ID = 35673894
Next day "19Xina 21S Longmen Grottoes 龙门石窟" , Wikilod ID = 35675816, and "19Xina 21S Peony Flower Park 中国国华园
", Wikiloc ID = 35675817
Walk continued "19Xina 22TU to Mengjin 孟津", Wikiloc ID = 35784634
Overview "19Xina 4-week walk Henan Mt. Song 汝南焦作", Wikiloc ID = 39858057

Originally I had planned to walk from "Q"(Guxian) via "R"(Longmen Grottoes) and "S"(Luoyang) to "T"(Baimashi). Due to the hot weather forcast, I prefered to avoid the long "Q-R" route and made a new planning with nightstay in nearer "r"(Guixian) and from there directly to "T"(Baimashi). From Baimashi I took local busses to visit the Longmen Grottoes (and the Park of the National Flower in Luoyang).

Km 11.6 improvised path down from highway to river dam road. Km 13.2 from here the very pedestrian friendly dam road is running next to the motor road. Compared with my new planning (map screen shots on my phone), I turned north too early (km 13.8) and continued north too early again (km 14.8). This way I walked more on main roads and less through the fields. If you follow this track, at km 16.2 I would leave to the left to have a look at the archealogical structure you see in the satellite image. I only noticed it later, when looking south from km 16.8. It looks like a pyramid with 4 ramps.
