Itinerary description
I walked this on 2019-04-07. This is part of my 4-week China walk in 2019. It continues a walk I started 2018 in Wuhan. Both times I stayed in China about 1 month with a tourist visa.

This day was a very good start of my long distance walk continuation - thanks to friendly people I met on the road and at lunch break.
But finding a hotel at the end of the walk was a pain. At km 32.0 there was an "International Hotel"(国际。。。) which I hadn't seen in my planning. Maintenance construction was going on in the front part of the building. Nevertheless there was a receptionist. She told me the hotel was closed. On km 33.0 to 34.0 there were various, hotels, as seen in my planning. However, they looked very low level and I did not enter any of them. Finally I tried one at km 34.8. The receiption was in the staircase: grandma, mother and children on a bed behind the desk. They gave me a room, but two minutes later told me to come down again. With my minimal Chinese I didn't understand what was going on. With an offline dictionary on my European cell phone, I got "wait - registration". They tried to communicate with me in writing, scribbling in Chinese onto a registration paper block and I thought "why don't they use these registration forms if they want me to wait for registration?". In hindsight I think they meant "You can't enter the room until Police has CONFIRMED your registraion". Finally they sent me to another nearby hotel (endpoint of track), which was apparently better suited for foregin travelers.
