Itinerary description
Walk from West Station (buses + high speed train) to East Station (buses). 2019-04-06
In 2018 I started a long walk in Wuhan. In 2019 I continued it from Runan.
Day 01: arrival at Beijing airport, flight to Zhengzhou airport, bus to here, Zhumadian.
Day 02 morning = this track: get from Zhumadian hotel to Runan
Day 02 afternoon: visit Nanhai temple in Runan.
Day 03: continue long distance walk from Yangtze to Yellow river and beyond

Last year a bus from Runan to Zhumadian had dropped me at Zhumadian west station although I was coming from the east. This year, before leaving from Europe, I had booked a hotel in the west of Zhumadian. Early in the morning, I left the hotel and walked to the West Station where I arrived at 05h55. The bus station was still closed. The way to the station building lead across a parking ground. I asked when they open and was told "at 7 a.m.". After an hour they opened, but that was just the opening of the parking ground. The long distance bus station would open later (at 8 a.m., if I remember correctly). I thought transport hubs in China always open early.
Between long distance bus station parking and high speed train station is the bus terminal for Zhumadian city buses. I studied the route maps there and decided to walk to the other bus station in the southeast of the city, near the train station. That walk is recorded in this track.
In 2018 I started a long walk in Wuhan. In 2019 I continued it from Runan.
