18Xina 05CD to Mulan Tianchi 木兰天池

Not a GPS recording. Drawn manually on a satellite map. I walked this on 2018-03-21. This is part of a walk from Wuhan(A) to Kaifeng(Y) and the Yellow River(Z). Search Wikiloc for "18Xina" and "19Xina" (etc.?) for my China walks.

I took photos with my mobile phone, but due to technical weakness of that old device, I couldn't use GPS on my 2018 walk.
Info from photo time stamps (and my personal memory of locations):
06h45 (0.0km) inside hotel. I don't remember for sure if the hotel was at this place or at the group of buildings 1/2km further down. 06h50(0.7km) walking; 7h20-7h30(4.0km-4.8km) big entrance & parking zone down in the valley; 7h45(6.0km) cross rixer; 08h00 大自然宾馆hotel; 08h25...08h45(7.5km) breakfast; 08h50(7.7km) cross over into small road; 09h16(9.2km) leave to the right, following upphill signs to mountain villas ...山在; 09h25 stay left (not right to 清水湾山在); 09h50-09h55(11.4km) tried wrong way left (again labelled 清水湾山在!) before continuing through gate; 10h10 villa; 10h20(12.7km) uphill on small ridge road; 10h35 lake view; 11h45 place name sign "Huchong Cun"; 12h05 on two-lane road; 12h50...13h00 several hotels, one occupied by military; 13h15(23.8km) inside hotel. It has its own fish pond (later I eat one for dinner).
Visiting the mountain park. This is not on the track:
13h20 walking again, now without backpack; I pass the first big ticket building, which is not used; walk left ; 13h35 ticket office near big hotel building; 13h40 lunch (skewers) at food stall behind entrance. From here to Mulan 天池Heaven Pond, it is all uphill. 14h22 on glass bridge; 15h30 at lake with play bridges. Before I had passed the lake's dam where you could slide done the dam's slope on plastic bins (on way back), but this attration was closed; 15:50 Mulan's grandmather place (spinning wheel); 16h20 on a pleasure boat. The Chinese expression is "swimming boat". I had taken a zip-line down. At zip-line start, staff tried to explain me that I can't return by walking, that I have to take the swimming boat and that the boat is included in the zip-line ticket. They even made swimming moviments to explain this, so I misunderstood the zip-line involved swimming (that would have been mad with cool weather and with cellphone and passaport on me). 16h35 at dam again. It was not crowded that day, but visiters are guided to walk down not on the same way they walked up. The way down is on wooden stairways - no nature feeling - with a stretch paralleled by a long slide whose entry I had missed. 17h15 back at the very first entrance building again; 18:00 fish dinner at hotel; no other guest around.
I should have rested in the afternoon and visited the park another day. However, my planning to walk from Wuhan(Yangtze River) to Kaifeng(Yellow River) with a 30 day visa just allowed me 1 single day of rest, which I did not want to spend in the first week already. From the previous day's very long walk (because I got lost), I had incipient blisters on my feet, that got worse with the lack of rest. A few days later I did 1 rest day that did not cure my feet completely. So finally I decided to skip a section of my planned river-to-river hike by bus, namely Ruhan("O") to Xuchan("T"). By skipping this, I gained time to make a 2 day rest and visit a mountain park west of Zhumadian (by bus, too).
