Itinerary description

We leave the capital by a bike path and in Gunclje we take a very quiet road to Skofja Loka. We go up the Sora valley, with some section with a little traffic, and in Selca we turn off to climb a four-kilometer paved wall to Lajse. Traveling a panoramic stretch, we pass by the memorial of the Nazi massacre of Drazgose and we get down a forest track, at first soft and compact, then steep and stony, which forces us to walk pushing the bike for a kilometer and a bit (It can be avoided going down at a detour to the road-track 911 and following it uphill). A long descent, first on a gravel track and then on asphalt, brings us to Bohinjska Bistrica. We cross the road to the bottom of Lake Bohinj and arrive at Ukanc, an area with camping sites, apartments, hotels and shelters scattered in the forest.
