Itinerary description
Adventure motorcycle ride from Austin, Texas towards the north east. We sought out dirt / unimproved roads from Elgin, Texas. We took this after the big rain storm in the fall of 2018. We did not find any low water crossing but did find plenty of low areas with pooling. The dirt roads were a combination of road base, clay and some sandy clay areas. This route takes you past the old Alcoa plant, Sugarloaf Mountain and a wooden bridge. We started around 11am and returned on tarmac before sunset.

There is a nice clearing beside the river to park and hang out.
