*Ideally continues my journey along the Eurovelo 9 which started in Gdansk, crossing the whole of Poland along the Vistula, ending the first part in Krakow. From here by train I arrived in Brno in rep. Czech and continued to Vienna along the eurovelo9*

Border stop of which 52 in the Czech Republic and the other 30 in Austria.
Busy stage with 600 meters of altitude difference, many gentle hills to overcome but also stretches of dirt road in the woods and other parts with ruined asphalt.
We leave Mikulov calmly making a second visit in daylight to the beautiful castle and its panorama.
We continue on the EV9 cycle path but also the EV13 "iron curtain trail", which in some sections coincide.
Looking at the reference and historical signs, it makes a certain impression to know that where today one passes easily without problems and in complete freedom until a few years ago (1989) there was a wall or in any case military outposts who shot on sight if we crossed the border that today we happily cross by bike.
We make a short stop with a lunch break in the city of Brêclav and after a few kilometers we cross into Austria. The view is countryside but very beautiful, rolling hills with regular and precise plantations. Very few people around and towns that seem uninhabited.
We stop in a motel in the tiny village of Hobersdorf ready for the final mid-August sprint to Vienna.
