Itinerary description
Departed 5:30 am on a canter from KMVN Tourist Rest House and picked up other goers whose hotels were along the way to the park entrance. The temperature (December) ranged from insufferably cold on the way to Dhikala, even with three layers of clothing, buffs, gloves etc., to pretty chilly when the canter stopped.
We saw elephants, Rhesus monkeys, spotted deer, red muntjacs, and tiger footprints. The forest is beautiful, but I think the safari organizers just want to get the tour done, rush the stay at Dhikala, and stop only when they spot megafauna. I'm more of a plant guy and honestly didn't get my money's worth.
We were back in Ramnagar by half past noon.
