Itinerary description
Green circular walk on the outskirts of Leiderdorp, passing along "park de Bloemerd".
Start opposite Hotel Restaurant Tulip Inn, on the foot and cycle path along Dwarswetering, just next to the bridge.
The walk is mainly along the waters of Dwarswetering, but also partly through a polder (Boterhuispolder) recently developed as a natural area / nature reserve.
NB This particular part halfway is not accessible during the bird breeding season, March 15 to June 15.
On Dwarswetering you'll frequently see rowing boats passing, especially under supervision of a coach shouting instructions from the riverbanks.
