Itinerary description
An easy walk of just over 4 miles in the Washburn Valley.
We parked by the bridge at the upper end of Lindley Wood Reservoir and set off on a well marked track up the south side of the River Washburn,
After about a mile you reach the pack horse bridge at Dob Park and join up with the Six Dales Trail footpath.
After two miles or so, just as the river turns north, leave the six dales trail and follow the river, turning right over a farm access bridge, then up a track to Folly Hall. Go through the farm gate, then turn right in front of the house and follow on behind a large barn on your right. This part is not well signed, but from here cross fields following what was once a track until you meet a proper road which you follow to Norwood Chapel.
Just after the chapel turn right and it is a short walk back to the car park.
