Itinerary description
Walking - Discovering Tsim Sha Tsui district in Kowloon on a Saturday. Extremely crowded, sort of a pinball experience especially in and around Temple Street.
Considering the signal bouncing effect amidst high-rise buildings, track quality isn't too bad.
Tips:
I stayed at the Regal Kowloon Hotel (see waypoint). a decent stay and probably comparable to other hotels in the area of similar price level.
A convenient feature is that visa application for China can be done at a desk in the lobby also for same-day delivery (price for a two-entry visa tye is HK$ 2,500 including service fees).
Nearby pedestrian area and waterfront walk make it an excellent quiet location. Bus line A21 to/from the airport (use stop #16), and within walking sitance from Hung Hom train station.
NOTE: Tickets for bus A21 can be bought by a counter at the airport. Conversely, rides towards the airport must be paid aboard with exact cash only (one-way fare was HK$ 33 as of Feb 2015)
