Itinerary description
It was very early in the morning. I hadn't have my breakfast yet. However, as the weather forecast said the bright morning would turn into heavy shower before noon, I really had to go. Therefore, after grabbing a sandwich from the coffee shop, I started my walk at the Füssen Bahnhof. After walking past the town centre, my first stop was the Lechfall, nice but not that spectacular in my opinion. Then I started walking uphill and reached Schwansee after about 45 minutes. The lake was very calm with perfect reflections. The view was lovely. 30 minutes later I reached another lake, Alpsee. This lake was bigger and as beautiful as the previous one. I got a place to sit down and enjoy my sandwich, taking in the gorgeous view at the same time. After that, I started my climb to the castle. I just took it slowly and it was not so bad. As I had already joined the guided tour the previous day, I walked past the castle and headed to Marienbrücke. where I could take in the view of the castle with the green plain view at the foot of the hill. Before the weather turned ugly, I walked down the hill, had a sip of coffee at a restaurant near the ticket office and took a bus back to Füssen.
