Itinerary description

This walking trail will lead you to the waterfalls called Fudo Danjo Waterfall, two-tiered waterfall rarely visited except by hikers. It starts from the parking space for Gyokuro No Sato where the shop and the restaurant are located. Cross the bridge leading to the tea house but after crossing the bridge turn rightward and walk along Tokai Nature Trail by-pass course. After walking about twenty five minutes from Gyokuro No Sato you will find the narrower agriroad with straw ropes hung around showing this is the sacred place. Walk about ten minutes and you will find the entrance to the lower waterfall, the larger of the two. The upper waterfall can only be glanced from the road. There is an acala(fudo) shrine near the upper waterfall. Returning route stops by Rokusha Shrine famous for Ryusei(bamboo rocket festival) fireworks held every two years.
