Itinerary description
Waypoints
Ahead to the plateau.
There are three places for seasonal refreshments by the parking place. When you face the mountains on the far side of the plateau two taverns are on your right and one on your left. The concrete track you need is nearer the left kafenion and heads straight towards the plateau. There is a signpost in Greek ΤΙΜΟΥ ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥ.
Cross normally dry riverbed and continue
If the river bed is dry ignore the squiggle where I had to find a way across on a wet January.
Visit church return to this spot and continue ahead.
It is well worth going up to this church even though it is probably locked. There are many roses and if you're caught short there's a proper toilet behind the church. Yes, that's snow in my photo!
By the stone circle turn right
At a junction you'll see a large stone circle on your right. This is a fine example of a threshing circle once used to separate grain from chaff.
