Itinerary description
This is a great place to visit. On the day we were there the grounds were full of families playing all sorts of games, the space was welcoming and obviously used my many of the locals.
The Slot itself dates back to 1586, and while you can't go inside, the building itself is magnificent. There is a quite large area where you can walk through open areas and forest. Lots of places to explore and use.
We decided to walk to the coast via a unpaved road through the middle of a forested area. This involved crossing the road at the end and then following a path to the coast. A little care is needed here because while the area is bicycle friendly it isn't quite so pedestrian friendly.
Sit on the rocks, have some lunch and then stroll back.
