Thre route is good for training, sightseeing mini-hikes or starting longer hikes.
New trails are being made on the slope of Turtle Mountain - for bikes and for hikers. The old trails have been dug up in some places and given away for rides.
In this trek, the ascent and part of the descent goes along a new trail. It is still under construction at the moment. There is garbage and the ground is not trampled.
The trail gives a smooth and fast ascent straight to the main parking at Turtle Lake. It's cool to see something new in familiar places.
