Itinerary description
One of 20+ interconnected walks forming ‘Footsteps in the Forest’ see Lysos Trekkers Group. Please note while these routes are beautiful,. There are no barriers and steep drops plus some loose surfaces. There is strict NO SMOKING rule if in the forest as a fire risk. Snakes can be encountered as well as other flora and fauna. Take good boots, a sunhat and plenty of water hiking poles recommended. Full sun little shade. Park at the community centre carpark building 33 as you enter Lysos from Peristorona with a high wall and pots inset.

Sad to see the villages falling further and further into disrepair.
Loved this walk..it has some great views. Interesting to walk round deserted Turkish village although we didn't do it on this occasion. A few other ruins to be seen on the trail. Found the last hill rather challenging!

A lovely walk. It is up and down but not tediously. Seeing the old villages is very interesting . We will be repeating this one.
