Itinerary description
We tried to find the path that leads to Piton de la Petite Riviere Noire from the bottom of the Gorges, starting from the parking. We weren't able to locate it, yet had a great hike. On our way down, we came across the Ultra Trail Raidlight Beachcomber track which we think could lead to our destination. We will try it next time. On our way down, we then hiked a bit off track till the kiosk at the river, then we hiked up till a viewpoint which is before Machabee viewpoint. Afterwards we hiked down the Pilgrims and close before its ending went offtrack again.

I tried too last year but did not find the path. Please share/upload if you find it.

Did it once climbing down from summit into National park.
If you park at National park parking and start hiking towards kiosk where a huge river crosses
Much before you reach kiosk, you'll cross some streams over some concrete bridges.
Vaguely, the access to what you seek lies close to one of the streams. I remember someone carving an arrow into the trunk in a visible way in one of the trees to leave a sign.
I know it's vague, my apologies
Hey Antish, thanks for your feedback! I memorized the spot where to turn right, just as you mentioned, it's after that river and there are some particular shaped trees and some fluorescent spray on trunks. It's not easy to spot by default, one has to know what to look for ;-) On our third try, we made it, you can follow our journey here: https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/gorges-parking-via-beachcomber-ultra-raid-trail-via-piton-de-la-petite-riviere-noire-and-back-via-p-42365725
Did you do it recently? Am wondering if during the lockdown, the track has gotten overgrown now? Part of it is not marked, we just used common sense following the mud trails.
If u want to do the Grand Piton trail, its an easy one..u just need to always keep ur head up..n look for the track while walking.
I have been there 2 times.
From Black River Nature park parking to Bench 828 then came back via Parakeet trail.
