Itinerary description
Timoleague Abbey makes for a great first impression when you visit Timoleague.
There is usually a hive of activity near the Abbey where it is also a good place to start the walk.
The path to Courtmacsherry is at least 5km one way along a scenic estuary.
When the tide is out one can see the many varieties of bird life on the silty estuary and when the tide is in then the view is at its best. (Having stopped in Courtmacsherry for coffee meant that by the time we were returning… the view had changed as the tide was in).
