It is the oldest temple in Tokyo and one of the most important and therefore visited and is dedicated to Kannon, the deity of mercy.
We arrive through the door of thunder or Kaminarimon, the outer door of the temple and authentic symbol of the Asakusa neighborhood and the city of Tokyo. It is an impressive door with a huge red paper lantern with the kaminarimon letters written in black. On both sides of the lantern, we can see the two deities that guard the entrance to the temple: Fujin, the god of the wind and Rajin, the god of thunder.
From there begins a shopping street where you find all kinds of typical things. Buying a kimono or "japo" socks is a lot of fun.
At the end of Nakamise Street we find the second access door to the Sensoji Temple: the Hozomon Gate and to our left an impressive 5-story pagoda.
I do not tell more about the visit because it involves getting into that world. Buy incense sticks and purify yourself, turn a wheel to see what comes out of the lucky sticks and see the main hall that is a wonder and all the sides.
As always, and Japan satellite losses are reflected in the paths, but there it remains even if it has failed
