Itinerary description
|
It is a walk in the upper part of the Bucegi Mountains. We arrived from the Gondola in Busteni to the top in the Babele Gondola. We are going to see a series of stones eroded by the force of the wind. Each one with a very peculiar shape. The one that most impresses is the one that looks like a sphinx, hence the name given to this area.
We leave from the Babele cable car, at the back we see a path marked by the passage of thousands of people, who visit this place throughout the year. Just before arriving is the Cabana de Babele.
Once past, we begin to see huge stones scattered around the area, each with its own peculiar shape.
At the end of the walk is the sphinx, where everyone wants to take a nice picture. Climbing the monument is prohibited. From there we have beautiful views of the Pestera valley. This year I couldn't go, I hope to go to the next one.
We will do the return by the same way of going. I hope you enjoy this little walk of such beauty.
