Small and picturesque town located near the city of Kranj, at the foot of the first foothills of the Julian Alps, one of the best preserved medieval towns (despite the earthquakes of 1511 and 1895) highlighting the castle, which belonged to the bishopric of Freising (in Germany) until 1803, when it happened to then Austrohungarian Empire, of there the aspect of the church and the town, similar to the Austrian towns.
A castle that can be reached on foot and that houses a museum (sorry for the title's writing, but the same thing happens with many letters in the Slovenian language), from which you can contemplate beautiful views of the valley. It is also possible, in winter, to make trips to the snow (there are a couple of ski areas nearby).
CAUTION:
In mountain areas, storms often catch people off guard and sometimes be strong. If you propose a route, check the weather report.
