Itinerary description
Location Noyuil-tong - Sŏngsuigasam-dong.
After getting down at the Konkuk University Subway Station (Dark Green Line) the track wanders through a restaurant and night entertainment sector immediately West of the Konkuk University Campus. The clientele here is typically young, with many students. This gives the area a completely different character compared to the traditional food streets North of the River, where groups of retirees and established office workers are more common. At Konkuk, the soup lunch restaurants are very active around midday. At night it's a bar-pub scene, open very late.
The track then proceeds through shop streets to the South-West, with larger Korean restaurants, and an increasing number of Chinese restaurants farther to the West. Perhaps that is a Chinatown in Seoul? then the area takes on a light industry character and the track detours to the north to a local fashion designer's manufacturing locale, which has a small public showroom and sales outlet (youth-oriented offerings). In this area the track passes some small laid back stores and coffee shops before arriving at the Seongsu Subway Station.
