Waypoints
Parking at the Trailhead
There is room for at most a half dozen cars to park at the trailhead, which is alongside a special parallel logging road. I would NOT park off the side of the logging road if this small lot were full. Logging trucks with wide loads come by fast.
Panorama
This little rise by the side of the trail with a bit of fencing is an early peek into a larger side channel of the Salmon River.
Bridge #1
They don't fool around with their bridges. This one could last a hundred years.
Blind
This "bird blind" provides a narrow view through the trees to the north. There is a small "step bench" so kids or shorter-statured adults can see over the railing. Someone has also left a fabric chair there.
River's Edge
In through a copse of trees is the main flow of the Salmon River. This is a nice spot to stop and sit in the sun or under the protection of the trees.
