Vintgar Gorge - the emerald river gorge.
A route through Slovenia is synonymous with nature, fresh air and, of course, dreamlike landscapes.
In its day we already told you how much we liked its capital, Ljubljana, a city with the soul of a village nestled in an environment that is a true reflection of one of the greenest countries in Europe. And it is that with so much natural wealth, it is not surprising that the country is full of corners that invite you to explore it from end to end and become, as it was for us, one of the favorites in Europe.
One of these corners is the Vintgar Gorge, (Blejski Vintgar in Slovenian or Gorge Vintgar in English), a spectacular gorge that the Radovna River has gradually shaped with its precious emerald-colored flow.
The gorge, which separates the Boršt and Hom mountains, is overflowing with lush vegetation, moss-covered rocks and vertical walls that in some sections reach up to 100 meters high, creating a feeling of majesty that overwhelms and amazes any visitor.
