Itinerary description

Rome: we couldn't remember all the points in Dan Brown's book, Angels and Demons, but we used someone else's guide (routeyou.com) and added some from memory.
Starting Pl Republica (metro linea A or Termini on line B). We walked NW though Park Villa Borghese, with wonderful views over the city, to Basilica Santa Maria Popolo, then S to Convento de San Francesco a Ripa, then N to Sant Angelo and El Vaticano.
Unfortunately we found some places closed (lunchtime in February or for restoration). But nevertheless, Rome is wonderful, absolutely brimming with history, and easy to walk around. Transport is cheap and easy (transport tickets 1.50€ for 100mins. unlimitted bus rides plus 1 tube/train ride).
