Itinerary description
We leave from Agia Sofia church and follow the route of the old kalderimi towards Promyri. There is plenty of shade on this walk through a wooded valley. About 0.5km before reaching Promyri we take a small track to the right that crosses the stream at Kanalaki by an old (dry) water fountain. The narrow path follows the route of the stream until it crosses another stream and then after a few meters turns uphill (quite steeply) on a kalderimi towards Rodia. We follow this path which becomes an earth road to a high ridge where in places there are great views of Skiathos, Skopelos and Evia. We follow wide earth roads back to meet the Promyri - Platania kalderimi and then retrace our path back to Agia Sofia church.
