Itinerary description
This is an under 4 km loop trail (circa 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour) that goes along the upper Puntledge River and is easily accessible from a parking lot off Bevan Road adjacent to the new (2022) Comox Valley water treatment plant. The route is nearly level, with just a few minor ups and downs, and the path is generally free of safety hazards such as big routes or other slippery surfaces. There are a few benches along the river's edge where you can rest and enjoy a great view. There is also "Palm Beach", a swimming spot easily accessible from the path into the Puntledge River. It is mostly sand underfoot at this "beach," but there are definitely no palm trees.
