Itinerary description
Start from Princetown, Dartmoor. Here you will find plenty of inexpensive parking. There are several cafe's and a pub if you fancy a cup of something hot before heading out for a morning or afternoon walk or, once you return. The Fox Tor Cafe is a good choice, it may not look much from the outside but, step inside and you'll receive a very warm welcome for you and your dog.
The walk starts out following the old Princetown railway line that once existed to carry granite from the quarries. The walk then takes you up to and around King's Tor along a good quality stone path. Once around the Tor, you have the option to walk back along the railway path, which may be a good choice if its wet, or head up and over the top of the quarry and across the moor back to Princetown.
