Itinerary description
This track records the straight forward ascent of Table Mountain from the parking lot at the foot of Platteklip Gorge on Tafelberg Road, up Platteklip Gorge, along the North ridge of the Table to the highest point of table Mountain - Maclear's Beacon at 1087m.
From the Beacon, the track takes the trail along the Table back to the top of Platteklip Gorge from where one ascended, and makes ones way back down to the starting point.
This walk is a good family outing. Remember to take warm clothing, plenty of water, sunhat, sunscreen and food/snacks.
