Itinerary description
Piraiki - Marina Zeas - Mikrolimano - Faliro Metro
The walk starts at the "ΣΩΡΑ" bus-stop by the Hellenic Naval Academy (Σχολή Ναυτικών Δοκίμων), and follows the coastline road to the Mikrolimano Marina, then along a brief stretch of pedestrian roads and paths reaches the Faliro Tram stop, and finally over a pedestrian bridge ends at the Faliro Metro Station (ΗΣΑΠ).
Views over the Saronic Gulf Sea, lots of tavernas and cafes along the way, can be very crowded on weekends and in summer. Sunbathers and swimmers on the rocky shore and its tiny sandy beaches, even until late night in summer. Parts of the massive ancient Piraeus City walls (Κονώνεια Τείχη) are preserved at a considerable height along the Piraiki (Πειραϊκή) coastline. Remains of ancient shipyards (Νεόσοικοι) can also be seen at Marina Zeas.
For the Hellenic Naval Academy you can take Bus number 904 from its terminal at Gate Ε6, opposite the Piraeus Metro Station (ΗΣΑΠ).
