Walk that runs through the town of Cat Ba and its beaches and promenade. We started the tour by heading to Tung Thu Beach, which is at one end of the town and we found it generally uncrowded and quite unspoilt. Then we went around the lake where our accommodation was and we really enjoyed observing the lively activity around it: the market, restaurants displaying fish tanks full of fish, people cleaning and scaling what they caught on the sidewalks ... Then we continued walking along the lively promenade with good views over the bay until we reached the beach of Cat Co 3 where we had a swim. From this beach, a very nice circular path leads us in 10 minutes to the beach of Cat Co 1, which is completely occupied by a large resort.
A very entertaining walk that incorporates the different aspects that give personality to an island where tourism is clearly expanding, a population originally dedicated to fishing and which is seeing how its expectations and ways of life are changing, a spectacular gastronomic offer and a privileged environment both in terms of coastal landscapes and nature in its pure state that covers a large part of the island.
