We left from Favana, to reach the island of Veli Brijuni by boat, the largest and, if I'm not mistaken, the only one of the archipelago that can be visited.
Surrounded by lush nature you can also admire:
archaeological remains (a 1st century Roman villa located in the enchanting bay of Verige; the Basilica of Santa Maria, the oldest Christian building on the island and the castrum);
the footprint of a dinosaur imprinted in a block of limestone;
the Safari park (wanted by Tito, in the north of the island putting together
an unusual collection of living specimens of animals typical of the local fauna together with exotic animals from Africa, Asia and South America);
the Mediterranean Garden (a green area that extends over an area of 17,000 square meters once used as a forest nursery, more than 150 plant species grow inside. As well as splendid bays and for enthusiasts there is also a golf course 🏑
