Itinerary description
Round trip including the rock pools from megalo papingo:
Starting from (megalo) Papingo, the trail goes down to the stream and then up to Micro Papingo, than to the wonderful rock pools and finally back to the starting point. The view is great, the vialges very nice but certainly the highlight, which justifies the whole trip are the rock pools which are unique, beautiful and fun. Even at the end of September, after about two weeks without rain, the pools are flowing with water and there is a big pool that allows swimming in fresh, icy-cold water if you are up to it. The inner-most part of the trail into the pool's gorge requires climbing and following a very narrow path just to see the waterfalls that mark the beginning of the pools. Its not for everyone and not a must-have - the nicer pools are were everyone can arrive.
The last strip of the trail, from the pools and back to Papingo, was not correctly recorded (GPS off...), but is very simple: just follow the road and at the sharp left turn of the road take the steps into a nice trail leading to the village above.
