Itinerary description

The Susquehanna greenway trail will need a way to cross I-88. This is one possible route. It's not ideal due to some wet areas but is a workable trail section. The half on the north side of I-88 has some small wet areas and is fairly narrow between the bottom of the highway embankment and private property line. The southern half is more attractive, with a wooded stretch beside an oxbow wetland, but would require detouring around one wet area.

Waypoints

Road end

Route 58A ends here beside parking area, turns into a driveway. Despite private property signs, the public ROW actually appears to extend east for 650 feet, according to county assessors map..

Edge of oxbow lake/wetland. No hwy ROW fence in this section. An alternative route to 58a could traverse the wetland south via boardwalk then turn east. However this is private property.

Wet area

Wet on both sides of trail. Narrow path btwn wet areas but dense brush.

PictographWaypoint Altitude 1,132 ft
