Maybe affiliated with church
Think church related. Gothic style arches. And the trois-feuilles a reference to holy trinity. On Jinglingrd. Aka Rue du Consulat. Slated for demolition. Under arcades or archways.
Art Deco-celebration of urban and Modern building
York house, Speed lines draw the eyes upward. Named this way to attract English speaking ppl bc French population so small
St Jospeh’s
St Jospeh’s original built as the providence orphanage. Built by Italian architect. Shut down during cultural revolution and bright back in 1980s. Weekday mass at 7am. And Sundays 2 mass. Not English.
Residence
Original height, weight bearing brick walls. Plastered over some of brick work. Right side building earlier.
RAS collection
Home of RAS former collection. Labels of 1920s in Latin. Was later the natural history museum. Now in a new location.
Zhonghuabank
Hold Zhonghua bank—bought by big eared du. Bankers guild. Big eared du was also part of French municipal govt. Gutted inside. Unusual that front of building faces north. Can see better in PPls. Square.
