Scampston Mews - Notting Hill – Grand Union Canal – Little Venice – Regent's Canal – Candem Market – Regent's Park – Portobello Market 2024-11-02 11:33
Taking advantage of a long weekend, we went to the neighborhood of Notting Hill in London and took three walks, in fact we can say that we were literally flâneurs, wandering the streets and squares, wandering aimlessly for many moments. If you are in Notting Hill and want to walk a little, here are these alternatives to get to know this neighborhood and its surroundings.
A second route to get to know the beautiful canals and the friendly market of Camden, and some more parks, such as Regent's Park, with a circular walking route.
You will see that on this second route from Scampston Mews to Notting Hill we have traveled a series of canals close to the water, it is really interesting, they have many bridges and some tunnels. We stop by the zoo and can see different animals without entering. We will see a series of boats, some with navigation and others that look like islands or floating houses. The Candem market is a real show, you can spend the whole day there!! Eating and shopping. The different parks that we cross are really spectacular and finally we went to Portobello where there is also a Spanish school, a couple of Spanish restaurants - really - and an amazing supermarket that really looks like you are back in Spain.
By the way, we found the Trellick Tower very interesting.
A first route is to get to know a couple of shopping areas, the famous Portobello market and a couple of parks such as Hyde Park, going by subway and walking back.
A third route to walk through Holland Park and the Kyoto Garden, and go to the Natural History Museum, spectacular. Return by taxi.
Agata, a good connoisseur of this beautiful neighborhood of London, acted as our guide and accompanied us every day. Thank you very much Ágata for keeping us company these days, and being able to make the most of every minute.
Circular route from Notting Barns via:
- Westbourne Terrace Road Bridge (3.1 km)
