Itinerary description
Officially the "Lazo Marsh North East Comox Conservation Area" and what is locally referred to as the "Northeast Woods" is a second growth forest and open wetlands with walking and cycling trails crisscrossing the forested part of 71 hectares (175 acres) of a contiguous plot of undeveloped land. More information on this park area is available on the brochure and trail map published here: https://www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/sites/default/files/docs/Parks-Recreation/4lazomarsh_brochure_201703.pdf .
A gentle and mostly flat loop trail (in red on the linked map) follows roughly the outside of the forested park area and this GPS trail follows that loop. The Lazo Park wetlands has only one loop trail accessed from another parking area and is not seen along this route. This route begins and ends at the Torrence Road parking area.
