Itinerary description
This trail is easy but that being said I did miss a left hand turn at .6 miles and had to double back an added an additional 1.8 miles to my walk. The trail is well marked but it went from a ski mobile trail, which is wide, to a footpath. The footpath winds through the woods for several miles then crosses under the power lines twice. The path lead to one of the trail parking areas. There are several trails to choose from in addition to the NET. The trail continues to twist and turn through the forest leading to an overlook with stone sculptures at around mile 4. This is a great place for a break. Another half-mile leads you to Richardson-Ziogar Cabin. This has a beautiful overlook and the facilities seem in great shape. From here the trail winds down hill for about a mile and half. It is not steep but steadily spirals downward. The last mile has a challenging climb and then levels off for the last quarter of a mile.
