If you're looking for walks, you're in Japan.
The “excessive” courtesy, such a different and remarkable cuisine, the ryokans, the onsens, the lines.
Japan, the cleanest and most structured country in the world with numerous, super clean and technologically brilliant toilets. You will never have had such clean private parts.
You have to queue at a bus stop to experience Japanese rigor. Public transportation is excellent.
Urban equipment for the blind is extremely sophisticated.
They don't seem to care about water, energy, global warming and consume a lot of plastic in all forms. We wonder if in Europe, we live on the same planet as them.
There are obviously the public baths and onsens that you will miss after the trip.
If you can, you should pay for some quality hotels, ryokans and onsens to discover this amazing Japan.
We traveled with “Au fil du Japon”, a remarkable agency.

If you pass by, go and see, that’s what you’re here for. But, that's another tourist trap.
Narai was an alte on the nakasendo. At the time a rich village. Currently a tourist attraction.
You will see the same thing in Magome and Takayama.
But it remains a “typical” street of the time.
Matsumoto is not far away. The castle is very beautiful from the outside, but don't be stupid enough to visit the interior. It's a huge traffic jam with nothing to see.
If you use this layout, please rate it so we can improve.
