Itinerary description
We didn't make it to the top of the mountain because there is a new charge of 5000 CFA per person.
We walked up the main road, which is a comfortable grade, though there are often motorcyles zipping by. Along the way there were a few ridiculous young men who wanted to charge 2000 CFA to see a small waterfall that they had built a bamboo wall in front of.
At the top where we turned around there is a police checkpoint, and an old man demanding 5000 CFA per person. There are also some basic food places.
We turned around and walked back down the mountain following smaller paths, seeing the old German cemetery and the colonial houses that are now abandoned.
At the end we ate lunch at a roadside stall.
