Ruta des de l'aparcament públic de les Moeraki Boulders (accés per platja) fins a les Moeraki Boulders, passant per l'accés privat a la platja del Moeraki Boulders Cafe i la Moeraki Beach a l'anada, i per la passarel·la de fusta i el mirador de les Moeraki Boulders a la tornada.
La ruta comença a l'aparcament públic de les Moeraki Boulders, situat més al sud, des d'on normalment es pot accedir a les misterioses roques a través de la platja. De fet, uns cartells informatius molt aclaridors així ho indiquen al mateix aparcament. En aquest cas, però, i com a conseqüència de les pluges constants dels últims dies, el Waiwherowhero Creek ha crescut més del normal i s'ha anat cruspint les vores de sorra fins arribar amplament al mar. Per tant, davant la impossibilitat de creuar el rierol per un tram sec de sorra, i amb la voluntat de no mullar-se els peus, s'ha decidit arribar a les Moeraki Boulders per un altre accés. Avançant per la pista asfaltada més o menys un quilòmetre, s'arriba al Moeraki Boulders Cafe, on uns cartells avisen que l'accés a les roques des d'aquest punt no és gratuït, i que cal pagar 2 dòlars per ajudar a mantenir-lo. Després de pagar, doncs, el camí porta ràpidament a la Moeraki Beach, on s'insinuen ràpidament les misterioses roques arrodonides. N'hi ha de juntes i separades, de més cobertes per la sorra i de més esfèriques, o de senceres i foradades. Alguna, fins i tot, permet que una persona s'hi introdueixi totalment talment com si se sortís d'un ou. En general, l'estampa és, doncs, prou curiosa.
Després d'inspeccionar i explorar aquest petit regal natural, i esquivant algunes algues i gavines, se segueix el cartell que indica la direcció del mirador. Pujant unes escales, se segueix una passarel·la de fusta amb vistes de més alçada de les Moeraki Boulders fins arribar al mirador de les Moeraki Boulders. Des d'aquest punt es poden veure les roques en la seva totalitat. Finalment, seguint el camí i sortint de l'àrea de les Moeraki Boulders, s'arriba de nou al restaurant, des d'on es torna a seguir el camí asfaltat, trobant algun bolet i alguna vaca, fins arribar de nou a l'aparcament públic on s'ha començat la ruta.
Es tracta d'una ruta sense cap mena de dificultat que implica un passeig per la sorra de la platja si es volen veure les roques de prop. Cal tenir en compte, això sí, que la marea sigui baixa, ja que si no les roques no seran visibles (es pot comprovar l'estat de la marea de qualsevol dia a través de diverses pàgines web). Si l'accés a la platja des de l'aparcament públic no es troba en bones condicions, com en aquest cas, també es pot aparcar el cotxe a l'aparcament del Moeraki Boulders Cafe, tot i que se suposa que és pels clients del restaurant. En tot cas, la visita a les Moeraki Boulders és recomanable si us trobeu a la vora de la zona, ja que observar de tan a prop un misteri de la natura com aquest és sempre fascinant.

Moving over the asphalted track about a mile or so, you reach the Moeraki Boulders Cafe, where some posters warn you that access to the rocks from this point is not free, and that you have to pay $ 2 to help keep you safe. lo After paying, then, the way leads quickly to Moeraki Beach, where the mysterious rounded rocks are quickly inscribed. There are several boards separated, with more covered by the sand and more spherical, or whole and drilled. Some even allow a person to enter as completely as if he were leaving an egg. After inspecting and exploring this small natural gift, and avoiding some algae and gullies, the poster that indicates the direction of the viewpoint is followed. Finally, following the path and leaving the area of the Moeraki Boulders, you will get back to the restaurant, from where you follow the paved road again, finding some mushrooms and a cow, public car park where the route has begun.
It is a route without any difficulty that involves a walk through the sand of the beach if you want to see the rocks nearby. It is necessary to take into account, of course, that the tide is low, since if not the rocks will not be visible (you can check the state of the tide of any day through several web pages). If access to the beach from the public car park is not in good condition, as in this case, you can also park your car at the Moeraki Boulders Cafe car park, although it is supposed to be by customers of the car park. restaurant In any case, the visit to the Moeraki Boulders is advisable if you are on the edge of the area, as you observe as close a mystery of nature as this is always fascinating.
