Itinerary description
This is the recording of a family hike from a farm just outside Vanwyksdorp to a local summit called Ararat where there is a water gauge, of the lower stretches of the Rooiberg Nature Reserve mountain range.
This is a tough hike, with little shade or places to rest, so ensure food, plenty of water, sunhat and sunscreen is packed in!
Some great views overlooking Vanwyksdorp are had on the way up and down.
