If you're looking for walks, you're in Japan.
The “excessive” courtesy, a cuisine so different and remarkable, the ryokans, the onsens, the lines.
Japan, the cleanest and most structured country in the world with numerous, super clean and technologically brilliant toilets. You will never have had such clean private parts.
You have to queue at a bus stop to experience Japanese rigor. Public transportation is excellent.
Urban equipment for the blind is extremely sophisticated.
They don't seem to care about water, energy, global warming and consume a lot of plastic in all forms. We wonder if in Europe, we live on the same planet as them.
There are obviously the public baths and onsens that you will miss after the trip.
If you can, you should pay for some quality hotels, ryokans and onsens to discover this amazing Japan.
We traveled with “Au fil du Japon”, a remarkable agency.

Unfortunately, THE Fuji was in the clouds. But we had seen it on the Shinkansen.
In Hakone-Jinja, worshipers fill bottles with holy water and drink it. A bit like Lourdes in the Catholic religion. Religion when you hold us. It's crazy how much death scares humans.
If THE Fuji is not visible, the area is hardly worth the effort. Lots of travel for little. Go to Kawaguchiko instead.
The open-air museum is not bad and original.
We ended the day in Shinjuku, at the top of the metro: very beautiful. The light show on the metro is distracting.
