Tour of Lake Manyara National Park in northern Tanzania, with a simple walk along its shores.
The lake is located in the Great Rift Valley, 50 km long and 16 wide, it has saline waters and has a very small depth given its dimensions, with just over 3 meters making it a kind of floodable wasteland. , which in drought years can be left with very little water.
Herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra are concentrated on these plains, while elephants, antelopes, herds of baboons, blue monkeys and climbing lions hide in the narrow strips of acacia forests.
The birdlife is also spectacular with more than 400 species, highlighting the pink flamingos in their perpetual migration, as well as large aquatic birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks.
It is easy to find one of these animals on the shores of the lake, unfazed by the human presence quite close by. Extraordinary and unforgettable African place.
