Itinerary description
this winter track is maintained for snow shoe hikes and indicated by the orange sign with the number 1. There is a large parking lot near the ski station, but this might get busy in high season. There is also a shuttle bus from Gerardmer.
The hike takes you up behind the top of the ski slopes, usually over forestry tracks but sometimes over footpaths as well. Mixed forest with lots of interesting flora and fauna.
