founded in 1954 by monsignor jesus coronado,his first parish priest was father valentin aparicio of spanish nationality. at the end of 1989 he was completely overthrown and built again, started in 2000 and completed on February 28,2001, by father RICARDO LORENZO CANTALAPIEDRA,also of spanish origin,is a modern architecture between colonial. the murals were made in 2001,by the Venezuelan painter, Cesar vega.the cultural represents the last dinner,with the Colombian gentilicio,on the side walls; we find the stained glass windows, the seasons of the passion and death of Jesus.

The indera port was one of the main ports of the mucipio de la macarena during the first years of the macarena being founded at that time (the refuge), wood, coca, wild animal skins, marijuana and much more were sold. in 2012 it lost popularity due to the improvement of the tertiary roads.
